Invitation to the Final Conference of the Erasmus+ ReligiTour Project
On Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 1:30 p.m., at the Faculty of Sociology and Communication at Transilvania University of Brașov (Building T, Room TII6), the final local conference to disseminate the results of the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships project titled “Improving Skills and Opportunities for the Development of Religious Tourism and Better Integration and Management of Religious Sites in Urban Environments” (ReligiTour), No. 2023-1-PL01-KA220-HED-000156074.
The project, running from 2023 to 2026 and coordinated by the University of Warsaw together with partners from seven European countries (Poland, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, and Romania), aims to harness the cultural and economic potential of religious sites.
Project stakeholders are invited to participate; the profile of participants may include: The meeting agenda is as follows:
- academic staff, researchers, faculty members, and undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students (particularly in the fields of tourism, sociology, communication, and heritage management);
- representatives and administrators of religious sites;
- tourism professionals;
- representatives and specialists in urban planning;
- journalists and communication specialists.
- 1:30 PM – 1:40 PM Welcome and sign-in;
- 1:40 PM – 2:00 PM Overview of the ReligiTour project, its objectives, and the European consortium;
- 2:00 PM – 2:10 PM Presentation of the intellectual outputs and training materials developed as part of the project;
- 2:10 PM – 2:20 PM Presentation of the ReligiTour interactive online platform;
- 14:20 - 14:30 Question-and-answer (Q&A) session and completion of the feedback form;
- 14:30 - 15:00 Informal discussions on the project’s sustainability, best practices, and future directions for collaboration.
