Fundamental field - Social Sciences, bachelor's field - Social Work, duration of studies - 3 years (180 ECTS credits). The study programme aims to develop professional skills in the field of social work: specific interventions to reduce social risks at the levels of the individual, the family, group, community and society; designing, implementation and evaluation of projects, programmes and social policies for different vulnerable categories, etc.

 

During the years of study, students will learn the methods of specialized intervention provided in the family or the institutional environment (hospitals, schools, penitentiaries, anti-drug centres, specialized social assistance institutions, etc.).

The undergraduate field in which this study programme integrates is Communication Sciences. The duration of studies is 3 years (180 ECTS credits). Students acquire skills in using communication strategies and techniques in the public relations process. The study programme creates opportunities for personal and professional development in line with the needs of the global labour market, in an economy based on knowledge and in a constantly changing business environment. The distinctive feature of the academic programme of Communication and Public Relations consists in the adequacy of the curriculum to the national and European educational standards, to the dynamics and exigencies of the labour market, having in its structure disciplines of fundamental and specialized knowledge and, equally, a substantial component of scientific research. Completion of this study programme enables graduates to approach several professions in the field of communication and public relations.

The undergraduate field in which this study programme integrates is Communication Sciences. The duration of studies is 3 years (180 ECTS credits). This new programme will aim to develop the skills and competencies needed to manage the communication processes of organizations and individuals and to achieve performance in positions and careers in the fields of web and graphic design, graphic illustration, audio-video production, post-processing in film and television, visual effects, online journalism, corporate communication, development of video games and animation, content creation for social networks, analysis of data available online, entrepreneurship in the field of digital communication. The curriculum was developed in accordance with national and European educational standards. The Digital Media programme offered at Transilvania University of Brașov is the second of its kind approved by the Ministry of National Education. Students will have access to specialized laboratories (Social Data Analysis, Multimedia, Communication and Social Assistance, Interactive Television, Computer Laboratory for access to an e-learning platform and a virtual community), equipped with specialized equipment and software.

The Human Resources study programme is included in the field of Sociology. The duration of studies is 3 years (180 ECTS credits). The programme forms the skills necessary to understand the processes of organizations and organizational behaviour in order to successfully address jobs and careers dedicated to the development of social and human capital and human resource management. Students acquire skills in human resource planning, job analysis, recruitment, selection, staff integration, job performance evaluation, reward management, human resource motivation, employee development, staff management.

 

Perspectives after graduation: The most obvious occupational field is that of man resource management, represented by expert / specialist jobs: human resources specialist, advisor, trainer, trainer, human resources analyst, etc. Graduates can develop their careers in companies / institutions / NGOs or in specialized companies, which provide services in the field of human resource management and development: recruitment, selection and placement agencies; training and instructional service providers; consulting providers in organizational development, diagnosis and analysis of organizational culture, etc. Also, the acquired skills allow the development of a career as free-lancer in the field of management of organizations and human resources.

The overall objective of the Digital Media degree programme (in English) is to train graduates who can plan, implement and evaluate communication strategies using digital media tools in accordance with ethical and deontological rules. The degree programme creates opportunities for personal and professional development in line with the profound change in global socio-economic systems driven by technological development, specifically digital technologies. The distinctive feature of the study programme is an interdisciplinary development of the curriculum and its adaptation to national and international educational standards. The programme also adapts to the demands of the labour market, having in its structure both fundamental knowledge and specialised disciplines of an applied nature.
