International Colloquium of Social Sciences and Communication ACUM 2024
The ACUM 2024 International Colloquium of Social Sciences and Communication, organized biennially by the Faculty of Sociology and Communication, will take place from 25-26 November 2024, marking its 12th edition. The theme of this year's colloquium is "From Crisis to Resilience: Rethinking Social Science in a Transformative Era".
Keynote speakers:
- Luis M. Arciniega (ITAM, Mexico) - "An Emerging Global Classification of Employees Based on Work Ethic Levels"
- Kai A. Schafft (Penn State University) - "Divided Democracy: Understanding the Spatial Polarization of Politics in the Global Moment in the United States and Elsewhere"
- Katarzyna Drag (Pontifical University of John Paul II, Krakow) - "New communication patterns - new communication skills. Challenges of today's information society"
The panels of the ACUM 2024 International Colloquium cover a diverse range of topics relevant to today's societal dynamics and global challenges, such as: transformations in social policies for inclusion and resilience, the dynamics of social networks and their impact, the challenges of artificial intelligence in the era of digital citizenship, environmental concerns and sustainable solutions, the redefinition of European identity in the current context, and the exploration of the digital space shaped by human content and interactions. These topics are complemented by discussions on organizational challenges and human resource management, providing an interdisciplinary framework for debate and reflection on contemporary issues.
